FRIENDZONE

8 months come and gone and the clock is ticking on.
Just as the ocean sweeps across the shore
so have i been swept to the friend zone.
Memories linger on, hopes dashed,
thoughts turned to reality and fears faced.
Alas!!! The mighty gate has been breached.

Gone were the days i surfed on the hearts of ladies,
played with the emotions of divas.
My empire has been conquered and my city deserted. So am i.
My emotions conquered my soul. Emptiness is all i feel.
Just like the living dead i roam around.

The Gallant warriors ask "was the war worth it"
i ask my self was she worth the wait.
Memories linger as if it was just yesterday,
moments cherished have turned to battle scars.


Basking in the rays of love i wandered into a dungeon- FRIENDZONE.
So dark as coal, hot as volcano nd rusty as an old cage.
The cracking of ribs are being heard as hearts are ripped and thrown in.
Alas my freedom is gone. Am facing a life sentence.


Far away at the sea, the ship - love has set sail.
My only hope of freedom is gone!!!
Just like the tooth fairy picks up fallen tooth, i pick up my bleeding heart
and brace myself for my everlong sentence,
determined that 1 day i shall be free like a bird.
Free to roam the sky once again as if it were mine....
